Meet Shakeisha Naomi Hunter-Phillips, a passionate Jamaican educator with a heart for service and a mission to “Light the World” through teaching. In 2019, Shakeisha joined the Chelsea Recruits Teach Abroad Program and boldly stepped into a life-changing opportunity—teaching in China.
Armed with her Bachelor of Education in Primary Education (with Honours) (specializing in Literacy Studies and Science), a Diploma in Primary Education (specializing in Mathematics and Social Studies), and years of classroom leadership in Kingston, Shakeisha was already known for inspiring excellence in her students at Calabar Infant, Primary & Junior High School. But she craved more—a global experience that would allow her to grow, serve, and shine.
